Kickstart is where competitive dance starts at our studio: real training, real competitions, and good dance habits, built for dancers who are competing for the first time.

Is Kickstart right for my dancer?
Kickstart is for dancers taking their first step into competitive dance. Many have never competed before, and some are as young as 4. What they share is that they are ready to work hard in class, and their family is ready to support a full season.
It is the first of our three teams. Dancers who train consistently move up to Fusion and, later, The Core.
Dancers are placed by audition each May, based on readiness, not age.
What your dancer signs up for
For example: a Mini dancer in Mini Jazz and Mini Lyrical might take Ballet, Jazz Progressions and Jazz/Lyrical Combo each week, plus a 30-minute rehearsal for each routine on Wednesday.
What Kickstart is dancing this season
Four group routines, plus solos, duos and trios.
Group routines are cast by age division (PeeWee, Mini, Junior and Teen, based on age as of January 1st) and by readiness, so every dancer is challenged and no one gets lost in the back row.

Every event is required unless it says Optional. Optional events are for solos, duos and trios (and groups, if every dancer wants to go), and you sign up and pay for them separately.

Most Kickstart dancers are in 1 to 3 routines; your commitment survey sets yours.
Class tuition
Billed on the 1st, August through May
Pays for your dancer's weekly classes, based on how many classes a week they take.

11 equal payments on the 15th, July through May
Covers everything competition-related: rehearsals, choreography and music, competition and convention fees, custom costumes, your Company jacket and earrings, and faculty travel. It depends on your dancer's routines, and it is set before the season starts.
