Our mission is simple: to develop dancers of the highest caliber who lead themselves with discipline, serve others with humility, and rise together with integrity.
We hold our students to the highest standards of technical and artistic excellence, because excellence is worth chasing. But we hold them to the same standard of character, because skill without integrity is just talent waiting to be wasted. In every class, dancers are challenged to take ownership of their growth, to practice discipline when it is hard, and to support one another with respect.
Trophies and titles are temporary. The wisdom, resilience, and leadership learned here last a lifetime.
That is why we train differently. Our goal is not only to create exceptional performers; it is to create exceptional humans.

Every family wants great training. Here is how we answer the worries we hear most.
"Will there be surprise fees or last-minute dates?"
Organized Communication
Tuition, fees, Company costs, the master calendar for the whole season, every event and all the details are shared up front. You always know what is coming, when it is, and what it costs.
"Will class time go to rehearsing one dance?"
Training Over Rehearsals
We never rehearse competition routines during class. Routines are cleaned in separate rehearsals, so every minute of class goes to building technique and skillset.
"Will I know what my child is learning?"
Collaborating with Parents
Watch classes on our livestream. Ask what your dancer will learn this year, and we will send you the full curriculum. If you are worried about their progress, we will work with you on a training plan.
"Is placement fair?"
Fair Placement
Dancers are placed in classes and on teams with written rubrics, evaluations and skill sheets. You can see them anytime, so you know exactly what your dancer needs to work on to move up.
"Will my child deal with drama and cliques?"
Drama-Free Studio
We teach dancers to cheer each other on and work as a team. Not everyone will be best friends, and that is okay, but unkind behavior is never allowed (even from our strongest dancers).
"Is the training really that good?"

Our faculty trains under leading dance educators and curriculum, bringing that training here to St. Augustine! We push dancers to be excellent, but never at the cost of being kind, humble and honest.

Why we built more than a dance studio.
Megan BrightFounderI grew up in a pre-professional company where I was pushed to my limits. It was the most demanded acceleration of growth I'd ever experienced; a complete shift in standards and expectations that shaped me to this day. It gave me discipline, resilience, and the ability to set and chase big goals.
That's the power of elite training: it gives kids the same skill set that makes successful athletes, entrepreneurs, and leaders. Time management. Perseverance. Confidence under pressure. The ability to take feedback, adapt, and improve. These skills last a lifetime, far beyond the studio.
Skill without wisdom is dangerous.
I watched competitive standards breed gossip, comparison, and envy. I saw dancers win trophies but lose joy, talent without humility, excellence without character. I knew I didn't want to build just another studio that produced technically brilliant dancers who weren't prepared to use their gifts for good.
That's why I started The Dancehouse & Co. Dance is the tool, but the mission is bigger. We train at a pre-professional level, holding dancers to the highest standards in technique and performance. But we are just as committed to wisdom: teaching them to work hard with humility, to lead without arrogance, and to put character before applause.
The world doesn't need more performers. It needs leaders.

Who trains your dancer
All of our teachers grew up dancing out-of-state, from New Jersey to Oklahoma to North Carolina. Our dancers train under a Radix Core Performer, a ballet teacher raised in the Vaganova method under Edward Ellison, and guest artists like Ashley Moffitt of Club Dance.
